# How to calculate delivery courier pay

There are four ways to pay a courier: a share of the delivery fee, a fixed amount per order, a monthly salary, or a salary plus a bonus per order. No single way suits everyone; what matters is that it is calculated automatically and the courier sees clearly what they earn.

## The four ways
Choose per courier what suits them:
- A share of the fee: pay rises with the order price
- A fixed amount per order: simple and clear
- A monthly salary: stability for the courier, a fixed cost for you
- A salary plus a bonus per order: stability and motivation together

## A worked example
With 40% of a 30 EGP fee, the pay for an order is 12 EGP. With a fixed 8 EGP per order, 10 orders pay 80 EGP. With a 5,000 salary plus 5 EGP per order, a month with 300 orders pays 5,000 + 1,500 = 6,500. (Illustration only.)

## How it is calculated and paid
Pay is calculated on each delivered order and recorded in the courier's ledger, and the monthly salary is recorded once per month. Pay can be netted against cash the courier owes at settlement.

## What the courier sees
In the app the courier sees what an order will earn them before accepting and after delivering. The earning is hidden for a courier on a fixed salary only, since it does not change with the order.

## Questions
### Can the way differ between couriers?
Yes, the way is set for each courier separately.

### Is the salary recorded automatically?
It is recorded once per month, and you can also record the month's salary by hand from the accounting screen.
